MOSCOW, February 10, 2016 – The Top Employer Institute recognized Affiliates of Philip Morris International (PMI), including ZAO Philip Morris Izhora in the Leningrad region and Philip Morris Sales and Marketing Ltd. Saint-Petersburg regional office, among top employers in Russia, for the second consecutive year. The Institute certifies leading employers across the world, assessing working conditions, strategies of talent management, HR planning, leadership development and companies’ corporate culture. The certificate recognizes the company for its excellent work environment, exceptional professional growth and development opportunities for its employees.
Striving to attract and retain talents, PMI Affiliates in Russia offers excellent training and working opportunities to employees. In 2015 alone, the company provided over 1,000 employees with long-term and short-term training courses. Furthermore, approximately 500 employees have completed training courses at ZAO Philip Morris Izhora production training center, improving their technical expertise, knowledge of Safety and methodology of the production efficiency improvement.
Today, PMI’s Russian affiliates employ about 4,500 people, including more than 1,400 employed at ZAO Philip Morris Izhora. The Top Employer Institute following an independent customized assessment, validated by the auditing company Grant Thornton, awards the Top Employer certification annually. The employers need to prove their compliance with a number of international standards, such as talent management, HR planning, newcomer adaptation, training and development, efficiency assessment, leadership development programs, compensation and employee benefits, and corporate culture.
