The St. Petersburg Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) was established in 1997 to represent the interests of the international business community in St. Petersburg and Northwest Russia. As the first regional chapter of AmCham Russia, we have the resources and experience of the leading business advocacy group in the Russian Federation at our disposal. AmCham Russia’s key role in the Russian-American Business Dialogue started by Presidents Putin and Bush in 2001 is a testament to the success and influence of the organization.
AmCham St. Petersburg’s eight issue-specific committees (Customs & Transportation, Human Resources, Information Technology, Investment & Legal, Public Relations, Safety & Security, Taxation, and Tourism & Hospitality) form the backbone of our work. The committees serve as forums to address members' common interests and goals, to discuss ideas, exchange information, and develop policy positions for the Chamber. They also coordinate briefings, seminars and roundtables featuring top-notch industry experts and relevant government leaders.
Membership in AmCham St. Petersburg also allows for many networking and marketing opportunities among the other members and beyond. Furthermore, AmCham strives to provide its members with a sense of community as well as the services and day-to-day support generally found in AmChams around the world.
