While the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia is headquartered in Moscow with a chapter in St. Petersburg, it represents member companies with operations and interests throughout the vast Russian Federation. One of the Chamber's primary functions is to facilitate business contacts between its members and representatives of Russia's federal and regional administrations. AmCham accomplishes this through a two-pronged approach. In Moscow, it arranges briefings where regional representatives present an overview of their oblast, krai or okrug.
More importantly, the Chamber also periodically arranges Trade Missions to visit specific cities and areas of investment interest to members. Through these missions, AmCham is able to facilitate relations between potential investors and regional governments to promote better mutual understanding and expectations, leading to better investment climates.
