Tyumen Oblast

Tyumen Oblast has a diverse and well-developed industrial sector. The region has extensive natural resources including oil, peat, building materials, fresh water and mineral water.

The regional government is focused on developing an efficient investment policy and promoting foreign investment.

The investment climate is aided by several factors:

● A favorable geographical location, well-developed transportation connections and the ready availability of natural resources; ● An efficient market infrastructure, high consumer demand, and extensive industrial and banking sectors; ● A highly-qualified workforce; 11 higher-education institutes are located in the region, as well as international training centers of Lukoil, Russian Railways, Halliburton, Transneft, and Schlumberger; ● Major investors are operating in the region, including oil-and-gas companies such as TNK-BP, Lukoil, Rosneft, Gazprom, SIBUR, UMMC, and Fortum; and international banks including Raiffeisen, UniCredit, and BSGV; ● Over 80% of investment projects being carried out in Tyumen Oblast are receiving state support.
